Time for quiet contemplation.
Residencies and retreats last 1-4 weeks, depending on season and focus, and include both solo and group options. Group retreats and cohort-focused residencies accommodate1-4 individuals at a time.
A Sanctuary Space for creativity and wellness.
An upper level sanctuary with natural light and high ceilings serves as the current studio for artists (until fundraising takes place for the on or off-site construction of a studio & teaching space), and the creative wellness studio for other residencies and sabbaticals that take place throughout the year. The upper level sanctuary includes a large kitchen that’s shared by the group and reserved for culinary artists when they attend the residency.
Furniture is removed or rearranged seasonally to accommodate each residency group. For example, when visual art residencies are scheduled, the upper level furniture can be reconfigured, downsized, or removed in order to create an expansive work area for the artists-in-residence. Plenty of work tables are available for set up and use during the residencies, and can be used both inside and outside.
Partnerships with local farmers, gardeners, and neighbors provide produce and flora for culinary, botanical, and comestible artists and fresh ingredients for guest-chefs and residents.
Residency guests have their own private bedroom and each bedroom has a dedicated en-suite or adjacent bathroom. (3 Queen Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms are located on the first floor of the property, with a 4th bathroom upstairs).
Residency guests enjoy shared downstairs TV room/lounge, kitchen, and laundry areas, and outdoor yard and garden areas.
…and regional access to recreation areas and public lands
