  • Where is Sacred Basecamp located?

    • Sacred Basecamp is housed in a 1929 historic church building that was recently renovated for adaptive reuse for retreats, residencies, overnight stays, and private events. Sacred Basecamp is located in the community of Peterson, Utah, which is 5 minutes from Wasatch Peaks Ranch, 18 minutes from Snowbasin Resort, 40 minutes North of Salt Lake City International Airport, 50 minutes north of Park City, 22 minutes southeast of Ogden City, and 40 minutes south of Powder Mountain resort.

  • Will there be other people at the retreat or residency when I am there?

    • Unless you select “Qty 3” at Checkout, you will potentially be on site with 1-4 other retreat or residency guests. Because we offer 1-4 week experiences, retreat and residency guests may depart or arrive while you are on site during your selected time frame, unless you’ve booked the entire property for your own or your group’s exclusive use.

  • What Airports are nearby?

    • Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), Ogden Hinkley Airport (OGD) - Commercial flights to California’s John Wayne Airport are offered here through Breeze Airways , and Morgan County Airport, which is a public, county owned airport but is not serviced by commercial airlines.

  • Do you provide Airport Pickup/Drop-off?

    • Airport pickup and/or drop-off is provided on Tuesdays between 6am-12pm on the first and last days of the retreat. If flying in or out at times outside this window, please plan to take an Uber to or from the airport, which costs approximately $90-120 each way depending on the time of day, traffic, and passenger group size.

  • Can I drive to Sacred Basecamp?

    • Yes. There is ample parking for your vehicle if you choose to drive to Sacred Basecamp. There is no public transportation in the area where the residency is located, so personal vehicles are encouraged. Sacred Basecamp’s retreat and residency host is available in-person to assist with transportation on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:30am-1:30pm, Wednesdays from 7-9pm, and Fridays from 1-9pm.

  • Do I need a rental car while at the residency?

    • If you would like to explore the surrounding area independently, you will need a rental car or personal vehicle. You can also plan to explore the area with the host during their scheduled in-person availability.

  • What time is check-in/check-out?

    • Check in is between 4pm-7pm on your start date. Checkout is at 10am on your end date. Your host will be on-site to welcome you during check-in hours unless Sacred Basecamp has been reserved for use by an outside team, group, or individual, and in that case on-site host welcome upon arrival is optional and check-in can happen any time after 4pm.

  • Is there an art studio available?

    • At this time, there is not a dedicated art studio for those interested in creating artwork that requires a studio. There is an upper level co-working space with three large tables, and shared lounge areas on each level, and shared outdoor spaces. An example of how the retreat guests might share the space on any given day: There may be someone trying out a new recipe in the large upper level kitchen, while another person is sitting at a table working remotely on their laptop and another guest is writing poetry or reading a novel in the lounge area.

  • Can I bring my partner, spouse, or child to the retreat or residency?

    • You may bring a partner or spouse for a fee of $250/week if they share your bedroom and bathroom. You can add this on at check-out. Assistants, friends, or collaborators who desire their own bedroom and bathroom must pay the full fee. *We aren’t able to accommodate children at this time unless someone purchases all 3 spots and reserves the full property for their exclusive use. Please note that the property has not been child-proofed and may not be suitable for young children. Please use your discretion when deciding if the property is suitable for your young child.

  • Can I sign up for consecutive retreat and residency sessions at Sacred Basecamp?

    • Yes, depending on availability you may sign up for consecutive sessions.

  • What is included in the cost?

    • Private bedroom and dedicated bathroom

    • Bedding, linens, towels, toiletries, laundry detergent.

    • Shared kitchen with a 12-foot kitchen island and 36” range/oven combo, along with plenty of equipment, essential spices, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar.

    • Shared co-working and common spaces. The main upstairs co-working space has three large dining tables, and two lounge areas with a sofa and chairs, in addition to the large kitchen located on the sanctuary stage.

    • Lower level kitchenette with a microwave, fridge with sparkling water and half and half, snack and coffee station, and dedicated cabinet drawer for each retreat guest’s food storage.

    • Fiber WiFi

    • Optional wellness add-ons and group class instruction (sound healing, painting instruction, cooking instruction, breath-work classes, yoga classes, reiki sessions, etc.) Inquire with host if interested in learning more about these options.

    • Remote daily host support via phone or text messaging from 8am-10pm during your retreat or residency.

    • In-person Host support on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Monday during the retreat.

    • Transportation for errands and sightseeing is offered to retreat and residency guests during the in-person host support hours.

    • Travel planning assistance for retreat and residency guests who are unfamiliar with the area.

    • Support for retreat and residency guests who speak a primary language other than English.

      Self-Directed Retreats
      $875/person - 1-week retreat - Arrive on a Tuesday / Depart on a Tuesday

      Self-Directed Residency
      $1,750/person - 2-week residency - Arrive on a Tuesday, Depart on a Tuesday
      $2,625/person - 3-week residency - Arrive on a Tuesday, Depart on a Tuesday
      $3,500/person - 4-week residency - Arrive on a Tuesday, Depart on a Tuesday

      Arrive to Sacred Basecamp Tuesday (Start Date) between 4-7 p.m. / Depart Sacred Basecamp Tuesday (End date) by 10 a.m.

      *For retreat guests who desire a solo retreat or outside groups desiring exclusive use of the property, please select “Qty. 3” upon checkout to ensure you’re booking the full property for dedicated and exclusive use.

      **One accompanying guest is permitted for a fee of  $250/week if sharing the same bedroom/bathroom as the resident. This can be added at checkout. If all three people are each bringing a companion, please select “Qty. 3” when adding this additional option at checkout.

  • Do you require a formal application process to register for 1 or more weeks?

While we do not currently require a formal application for self-directed retreats and residencies, we ask that you provide a description of your residency goals, the name and contact information for a professional reference, and your emergency contact information.
